**WORKING TEST - CHANGE OF DATE**

Sadly, on behalf of the Midland Golden Retriever Club, I have had to cancel our Working Test on

20th April 2024,

I have spoken to our fantastic landowner, and sadly our lovely venue is very, very wet under foot, and in light of health and safety, plus most importantly causing damage to the land, it is the right decision to cancel the test.

BUT we have a new date for the test which is SUNDAY 26TH MAY 2024

So, to everyone who has entered the test already, your entries will roll over to the new test date, but sadly if you are unable to attend, please can you email me lucyjenkins07@gmail.com

I will either destroy your cheques, or if you have paid by bank transfer, please include your bank details, and I will arrange for your entry fee to be reimbursed,

A new schedule will be published shortly.

My sincere apologies but I hope you will understand.

The day was about learning what goes on in the Working world.

Working Gundog Assessment Day

Midland Golden Retriever Club hosted the

Royal Kennel Club Working Gundog Certificate assessment day, held at Laurence's Woods by very kind permission of our land owner Mr Laurence Dewis. My Assessors for the day, Steve and Anne Crookes gave up their valuable time to assess dogs who had joined us at our monthly gundog workshop days through the summer.

As a club, we were privileged to use such fantastic ground. We were very much spoilt for choice. We had ponds, rivers, woods and open grass land to choose from by kind permission of our host. The weather was kind to us despite a few showers and a few claps of thunder. We also had the National Alert Test to take into account. This event would never have happened without a fantastic team of helpers, judges, stewards and dummy throwers. For which I would like to thank them for giving up their time and enabling us to put on a great event. Thank you to the competitors for supporting the club and my helpers putting in a great team effort.
